LOCATION: Prescott, Arkansas
DESCRIPTION: Scope of assignment includes but not limited to ensuring
data collection, market analysis, sourcing, cost model
analysis, award, implementation across various business
units and/or functional areas, contract administration and
compliance monitoring for assigned materials, as applicable.
Working with the appropriate manufacturing and functional
team members, the Purchasing Manager will provide
leadership and oversight on all spend categories, direct and
indirect, required to support Manufacturing Operations.
These include, but are not limited to:
: Raw Materials
: Maintenance, Repairs & Operations (MRO)
: Engineering Design and/or Contract Services
: Plant Support Equipment (i.e. Electrical Switchgear,
Lighting, Compressed Air Systems, HVAC Equipment,
Controls, Valves, Boilers, etc.)
: Professional Services
Working in collaboration with the noted team members and
understanding their needs and requirements, the Purchasing
Manager will:
: Manage procurement process for designated materials
to reduce the cost of goods & services while ensuring
uninterrupted supply
: Interact with supply base and internal "customers" to
identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
: Provide purchasing support to all functional areas,
ensuring Purchasing representation and participation in
all issues related to meeting business requirements
: Analyze market trends and report substantial issues /
resolution plan(s) to management if applicable
: Develop necessary strategies and work plans, driving to
completion (i.e. commodity & supplier strategies,
projects....as applicable)
: Resolve issues related to quality, cost, delivery
: Manage and enhance supplier performance through
standardized processes and continuous improvement
efforts impacting quality, cost, delivery and service, in
support of multiple business unit locations and/or
functional areas
COMMODITY SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
: Prior designated commodity and/or materials' buying
experience
: Advanced commodity knowledge:
o Cost driver structure
o Business, industry and commodity acumen
FOUNDATIONAL JOB KNOW-HOW:
: Prior management of Direct and/or Indirect goods
and/or services buying experience in a centralized,
decentralized (SBU) or plant environment
: Contract development, management & oversight
: Strategy development including but not limited to:
o Supplier segmentation/rationalization
o Spend analysis & costing models
o SWOT analysis
o Proficient in "Problem Solving Decision Making"
QUALIFICATIONS: : Advanced, complex problem solving; able to identify key
issues and effectively coordinate effort to achieve
resolution across assigned team
: People leadership & teamwork; able to build alliances
with focus on customer orientation
: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products and SAP
: Strategic and/or Operational Purchasing Leadership (7+
Years)
: Ability to multitask and adapt to a rapidly changing
business environment
: Ability to multitask and adapt priorities quickly
: Effective and advanced communication skills
: Advanced planning and analytical capability
: Advanced purchasing fundamentals
: Supply planning experience in an ERP System.
: Strategic Sourcing; RFQ/RFP
: Bid analysis/award
: Negotiation strategy & teammate coaching/development
: Supplier leadership interface
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree; Advanced Degree Preferred
Certifications: CPM (Preferred)
