Discovery Solutions is seeking job seekers for a contract position with one of our customers, Lilly, a leading pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.
LOCATION: Winslow, ME
DESCRIPTION: This individual performs activities that support the packaging, labeling and shipment of products. Primary duties include applying labels to vials and/or bottles, packing orders for shipment, pulling necessary materials, and completing paperwork related to activity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for labeling and packing vaccines for shipment. Includes applying labels to vials or bottles, placing vials/bottles in appropriate carton, and applying outer box and/or carton label.
Completes required paperwork (packaging/labeling records) accurately and efficiently following company documentation procedures.
Trouble-shoots labeling equipment to ensure process runs efficiently.
Responsible for accountability of finished goods inventory in the packing area.
May participate in cycle and/or year-end inventory counting process.
The Distribution Operator will support the order processing function (i.e., picking, packing, shipping, etc.).
Responsible for keeping work area neat, clean and organized.
Monitor the packaging line to prevent stalls or jams, as well as ensure quality of packaged products in accordance with company standards.
Perform all duties in compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
Any other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE: Detail oriented
Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
Basic mechanical skills
0-3 years of experience in warehouse environment and/or packaging
Must be able to lift heavy boxes (up to 40 lbs)
Exposure to potential allergens is possible
Cool working environment.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
