DESCRIPTION:
Searching for a Medical Director with 5-10 years of medical communication/medical publishing experience to provide medical and scientific expertise for a national education initiative. In this position, you will be involved in providing direction for medical education grants and program content across a diversity of disease states and therapeutic categories, as well as assisting the business development team in strategic direction and relationships with stakeholders.
Candidates should be versatile in various disease states, have experience working with medical faculty to develop content for online and print programs. The medical director should have excellent writing and communication skills and be able to work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintain clinical expertise on relevant disease states, treatment guidelines, currently available treatments, and products in development in therapeutic areas of interest
* Oversee development of needs assessments for grant submissions by providing clinical direction, creating target audience surveys, reviewing outcomes data, and maintaining a stable of freelance medical writers
* Assist business development team with strategic direction for continuing medical education program design, outcomes reporting, and supporter presentations
* Work collaboratively with faculty and content developers to ensure appropriate direction for live and online education content
* Maintain relationships with faculty, education partners, supporters, and other stakeholders
EXPERIENCE:
Advanced clinical degree, such as MD/DO, NP/PA and 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data and provide direction for medical education content
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize while working on multiple projects
Proficiency in PowerPoint
Attendance at industry functions as well as provide staff support for live symposia
EDUCATION: Advanced clinical degree, such as MD/DO, NP/PA
