Discovery Solutions is seeking job seekers for a contract position with one of our customers, Lilly, a leading pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.
LOCATION: Winslow, ME
DESCRIPTION: Summary:
Responsible for physical plant maintenance including operation, repair and preventative maintenance of all facilities related assets including, but not limited to: buildings, high pressure boilers, electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, air compressors, structures and general facility equipment and facility grounds. This Mechanic must have a valid Maine High-Pressure Boiler License.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.
Operation of high pressure boilers.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis, including maintaining records of the maintenance and/or repairs.
Works with the Facilities team to complete work orders and emergency repairs.
Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (eg. Wall switches and outlets, fluorescent bulbs and tubes, sockets, fuses, minor appliance, cords etc) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
Maintains detailed and accurate records in accordance with USDA regulations.
Repairs, replaces broken windows, doors and door locks immediately in an effort to maintain facility security.
Participates in all aspects of renovation/remodeling activities including carpentry, drywall, plaster and painting.
Maintains parking lots, walkways, and steps for safety. This includes, but is not limited to, snow removal, salting, sanding, and general repair
Assists in moving furniture, equipment, etc. as requested for office relocations.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Qualifications:
Must have computer skills and be adept in Excel and Word
Professional verbal and written communications skills
Mechanical, carpentry, and/or electrical skill; ability to use common tools
Customer Service oriented
Maine High-Pressure Boiler Operator's license
HVAC certification and experience a plus
0-3 years of relevant experience
Personal Considerations:
Exposure to possible allergens
Adherence to biosecurity and sterility assurance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs)
Indoor and Outdoor working environments
PPE required, in accordance with safety protocols, including steel toe boots
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
